Emily Bynum

I taught first grade for ten whole years before moving to (and falling IN LOVE) with kinder! There’s something oh so magical about the early years of elementary school, and I’m just so so happy I get to be a part of setting strong foundations and a love of learning in my kinder babies!

I'm a hands-on learner myself, so I love to incorporate project-style activities and tons of artwork into everything I teach! I’m also constantly finding ways to keep my students actively engaged through the use of various call-and-response, chants and dances -- so our classroom is never quiet! It's a place filled with lots of fun, laughs and hard work as we all tackle elementary school together!

In 2018 I received the District Coin of Excellence Award by our district's leadership team. In 2022 I was honored as our campus Teacher of the Year, as well as our district Elementary Teacher of the Year. .

I attended Howard Payne University, where I played for four years in the women's collegiate soccer program. I graduated in the spring of 2012 with my Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education and a Minor in Art.

I’m a wife to my high school sweetheart and momma to two cute kiddos who always keep me on my toes!
