Literature and Dual Credit Composition and World Literature ---5+ years experience teaching Creative Writing--- ---Taught in three states in the US: Texas, Illinois, and New York in public, private, and magnet schools--- ---Bespoke ELA blogs at: BespokeClassroom.com & TeachWriting.org

MY TEACHING STYLE

My teaching style is all about discovery and finding ways to enable students to uncover knowledge themselves. Therefore, many of my lesson plans are student-centered. I am also known as "the writing teacher" because I believe that writing is the cornerstone of the English class and that every piece of literature should be selected for the sake of teaching skills and not simply because it's a "classic."
