TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I am a passionate educator with over 20 years of high-school and middle-school teaching experience - I have taught a wide range of subjects including English, Social Studies and Science from 5th-12th grade. I have presented workshops and sessions at many professional development courses both in my own district and as a guest in others over the last 10 years. My workshops have spanned a wide variety of topics including Interactive Notebooking, How to Increase Engagement in a High School Classroom and Teaching Hands On Earth Science Activities.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I believe that it's important to PROVOKE my students into thinking, RELATE their learning to their lives, REVEAL information to them and lastly (and perhaps most importantly) INVOLVE them in the process. My lessons are engaging, unique and creative and my students look forward to my classes because they know that they are going to have fun while they learn.
