Welcome to my High School preCalculus TI84C TechBook Reboot!
TECHBOOK: I came up with the idea for a TI84C TechBook since I needed a set of materials to supplement the traditional Math TextBook. Said supplementary materials add the use of Technology to the classroom. This TechBook has a particular emphasis given to the use of the TI-84C Graphing Calculator.

HISTORY: Many students and teachers have benefited from the use of my TechBooks. These materials will help new and veteran teachers alike. You can never have enough materials to share with your students! These materials are great for home schooling too! You can see what we do with technology in the classroom to enhance learning.

REBOOT: I have been developing these materials for over 30 years. I teach this course every year and continually improve my materials. I've sold 100s of copies of my TechBooks since 1988 in print form. Now, I have repackaged my teaching materials in electronic format for your convenience.

Not only do I make extensive use of the TI-84C Graphing Calculator, but I also emphasize the Rule of Four. This rule refers to GNAWing at a Math problem. Whenever you are confronted with a new and challenging problem, you can attack it Graphically, Numerically, Analytically or Wordily (verbally). You will learn how to use technology to make Mathematics fun by investigating a problem Graphically or Numerically. Using a TI-84C, you will find it easy to manipulate graphs or study data using tables and lists. Using these materials, you will also learn how to solve problems Analytically and explain your results Verbally!

My High School preCalculus TI84C TechBook covers an entire year's worth of instruction and is comprised of 4 parts:

TBA: TechBook Assignments are my weekly homework sheets. Even if you don't use the same text book I do, you can use these files as a syllabus or pacing guide for the course. You can also use these files as a table of contents for all the other files in this package.

TBL: TechBook Lessons are ScreenCasts from my class. Included in this part are nearly 80 videos in MP4 format. You see what I write on my SmartBoard and you hear everything I say as I teach. It's as if you were sitting in my class!

TBS: TechBook SmartNotes are notes from my SmartBoard! This part of the TechBook gives you all the notes in PDF and SmartNotebook formats generated during the ScreenCasts. The notebook format files are included so you can edit them in SmartNotebook as needed. I use these each year as lesson plans.

TBQ: TechBook Questions are Quizzes and Tests that complement all of the above. In this part, you will find a complete set of Quizzes, preTests and Tests in Word and PDF formats for every chapter. The Word files are included so you can edit them as need. Also, these Word files make extensive use of Word's inline Equation Editor.

As of this update 7/4/2016, I've been teaching Mathematics and Computer Science at the local High School for 32 years and the local College for 26 years. I've been teaching AP Computer Science since 1988 and AP Calculus since 1993. My have been developing these materials for my students for all these years. I hope you and your students can benefit from the materials too!

My teaching style has changed over the years. When I first started teaching Lecture Style teaching as well as Pen and Pencil Drill & Kill practice sheets were all the rage. Since the advent of Graphing Calculators and SmartBoards, I've been moving toward the Flipped Classroom Model. Assignments traditionally given for homework are done in class in groups. Lectures traditionally given in class are now recorded as videos and assigned for homework. I hope you can use my materials in this fashion and help your students achieve their highest potential!
