myON Project: Know the Past. Shape the Future!

Attached is a listing of myON books that span January (Martin Luther King's birthday) through March (Women's History Month) or any time you choose to student the history of African Americans. The books were gathered to be accessible to students Kindergarten through fifth grade. I separated them into two text sets. "Text Set 1" contains books for students kindergarten through fifth grade. "Text Set 2" is for the older reader due to more mature content.. Also indicated are the ATOS level, recommended grade level, AR points, audio time, and page count. These projects contain a variety of materials ranging from concepts that are "right there", fables, graphic novels, chapter books, biographies, tall tales, etc. The projects are free to use on myON: search "Know the Past. Shape the Future!" to find Text Set 1 and/or Text Set 2. Or use this resource as a bank to start your own!
