Description

edTPA Physical Education Complete Checklist for all 15 Rubrics: Goal Level 3/4

(HOW DO I KNOW WHICH PRODUCT I NEED? Each edTPA testing category is specifically named and indicated by that name on the edTPA handbook that will be given to you by your cohort/professors. If the name matches, this is what you need! If its not the exact same, please feel free to email me to double check if this is the right product for you! shelblandrum@gmail.com)

In order to score well on edTPA, you MUST follow the rubrics. If you can provide the explicit evidence the rubrics require in your responses to the commentaries, you can almost guarantee your scores. edTPA gives you all of this information in a 40+ page Rubric Level Progressions document (content specific) that provides specific examples of what is needed to score each level on each of the 15 rubrics. No wonder no one takes the time to go through these! How time consuming! But that is what I have done for you.

I have consolidated the rubric level progressions into an easy to follow 3-page checklist for all 15 of the rubrics combined. I used this to complete my own edTPA with the goal of scoring a 4 on each of the rubrics. My score was a 62 out of 75 which is an average of 4.13 on each rubric! (Screen shot of my score report in preview!) You can do it to! You just have to play the game. Follow the rules. Give them what they want, and you can breathe a sigh of relief.

This resource will also be helpful to guide you in how and where to BEGIN. When I first tried to start edTPA, I had NO idea where to begin. But after reading this 3 page document, you will see how everything fits together and be able to have a clear picture of where to start in your lesson plans!

I hope my resource will save you time and help you gain clarity over what is needed to CRUSH edTPA!  For a sample of the full resource, click here for a freebie download!

HOW TO USE:

1. Read BEFORE you make your first lesson plan to make sure you understand what is required. This will help you know where to start.

2. Continue to reference as you make your plans, video lesson and assessment, making sure you have provided a way to include what is required.

3. LAST – hunker down and cross reference as you answer each commentary question, EXPLICITLY answering what is required to GUARANTEE the score you want! The score reporter won’t be left guessing at your intentions!

What is included?
