Description

Teach elementary-aged kids about paleontology, fossils, and dinosaurs while at the same time teaching them to evaluate the fossil record from two perspectives:

  • Young Earth Creationism and Young Earth Theory

AND

  • Old Earth Evolutionist and Uniformitarian theory

Included in this unique activity pack curriculum are tables comparing the two perspectives as well as a clear description of what each side believes about the age of the earth, dinosaurs and the Fossil Record.

Do all scientists believe that dinosaurs lived and died 65 million years ago?!

Is this the ONLY interpretation?

NO! There is more than one view on the age of the earth and on the time that dinosaurs lived as well as an alternative interpretation of the fossil record.

There are many fully qualified (PhD level) scientists who adhere to a literal 7 day Creation interpretation of the Bible.

I have included both sides of the controversy in this unique Paleontologist Activities Unit Study.

I designed this activity-stuffed young earth versus old earth activities paleontology, fossil, and dinosaur unit study with elementary-aged kids in mind. However, it can be used for younger and older kids as well, depending on your kids' individual needs and abilities.

With this awesome unit study in hand, your kids can become REAL paleontologists and DECIDE FOR THEMSELVES which interpretation of the fossil record--young earth or old earth--makes the most sense.

If you want to help build your children's critical thinking skills, and maybe even their faith, this super cool paleontologist activities pack will definitely help with this goal!

Customer Review from April - www.homeschoolingdietitianmom.com

"I was excited to try this out. I learned the “basics” about paleontology as a student but I’m thrilled to find something to help me dig deeper into with my children. I used this with both my 10 year old and my 13 year old, focusing more on the 13 year old. At first glance I thought I might need to add and implement more to this unit but that was not the case. It was more than sufficient material for him to have a great learning experience. This unit teaches the most important concepts of paleontology in kid friendly graphics, but also teaches kids the real words and both sides of the controversy! That was my favorite part, letting them think on which interpretation of the fossil record makes the most sense. We read the material several times during the week and will review material from the frequently until they grasp it fully. I liked the included “possible test” pages because I will add those to his portfolio fur evaluation. The only thing I added is I had the 13 year old write a short essay on what side he was partial to."

Preview only shows some of the pages in 51-page book.

Note: If you ever want to create your own game show using your own individual facts and unique subject matter. I created the awesome game using the blank template by Kristin Lee Resources which you can purchase here
