Year-Long French Kindergarten Assessment Package
What educators are saying
Description
This package has been vital to the assessment process in my Kindergarten classroom. In my school, they are actually part of a crucial "Literacy Profiles" system that each teacher completes with their students and passes on to the next teacher the following year. They assess a number of vital skills that are covered in my French Kindergarten classroom:
1) Singing the Alphabet
2) Colour Recognition
3) Letter names and sounds
4) Oral counting
5) Number recognition
6) French sight word recognition
7) Printing Assessment (Junior Kindergarten/Pre-K)
This package also includes charts that teachers can fill in to track their students' process in a clear and visually appealing way. These charts are fantastic to present to parents during parent-teacher interviews, to recognize student progress/growth in learning, or to pinpoint troublesome spots in a student's learning.
This package also includes BONUS "Book-in-a-Bag" Tracking sheets! I love to use these sheets in my classroom to help me keep track of which students have taken home which books as part of my Book-in-a-Bag home reading program. In this document is a tracking sheet that helps you record:
- The child's name
- The name of the book they have borrowed
- The level of the book
- The date it was loaned
- The date it was returned
- Space to check off whether the book was covered during shared or guided reading, as well as whether an assessment (running record) had been done with this particular group
The second sheet is one that I keep in each child's individual assessment folders. It helps me to quickly glance at which books the student has already borrowed.
