This is Unit 1, Task 3 - the 3rd of 8 units for the year.

What is this Year 11 General English task about?

This task asks students to read a novel and complete 3 written responses. The responses are based on a character, an idea or theme, and their personal world view.

What is in the resource?

The Task sheet included task instructions, curriculum links and info, a matching assessment schedule, lined pages for writing a draft, and a cover page. This is a self-explanatory, walk-through student task booklet and a Sample Teaching Unit Plan is also included.

NOT INCLUDED is a Novel Study unit. If you have time to complete an extended novel study, you will need to purchase a separate resource for this. There are many available in my store: The Giver, 13 Reasons Why, The Hunger Games being just 3 of the many novel studies available!

Use the task as it is or tweak it to suit you - it's editable!
