YEAR LONG Common Core Vocabulary Acquisition and Use Spiral Review Fourth Grade

This packet contains weekly spiral practice for ALL seven Vocabulary Acquisition and Use Common Core Standards for fourth grade including Academic Vocabulary.

The Academic Vocabulary section is cross-curricular and covers ELA, Math, Science and Social Studies as well as common standardized test direction words (power verbs).

Your students will practice EVERY vocabulary standard each week.

This packet can be used in a variety of ways such as a weekly homework sheet, as a bell ringer (working a couple of vocabulary standards each day), or as a one day lesson each week in which all skills are practiced in one class period.

I have also included a progress monitoring chart so you can easily track each student with the seven CCSS standards in order to see where a student may need more practice. Every standard is clearly labeled with the corresponding practice problem on the spiral review pages for easy tracking.

There is also a blank vocabulary page for you to add any weekly vocabulary words specific to your classroom needs. Student can use this page to write their words, synonyms for their words, sentences for their words etc.

This packet uses Fourth Grade CCSS, but it can be used with 3-5 grade classes.

An answer key is provided; however, for some unknown reason, the page numbers are different for each practice page on the answer key. I have tried to fix this several times but couldn’t. You may want to white those out and write the correct page number on the corresponding answer page. If not, then just simply look at the page to find the one you need.
