    Description

Social media demands status posts reveal: clear, succinct statements and a set character limit. Academic writing expects these same criteria, but also requires that a piece's intent and meaning must show correct grammar, usage and mechanics, as well as a clear writer's voice instead of convoluted and often misunderstood statements and an emotionless voice droning monotonously.

This 201-page "Writing Right! Bundle" accomplishes all of the above basics with 11 activities that galvanize middle school and high school English students to successfully combine the "what they mean to say" with the "how they say it" when they compose pieces. These mini-lessons fit any type of expository or creative writing assignment since strong writing, no matter the genre, must unite three writing principles - Show, Not Tell, Make Every Word Count, and Create Word Pictures - along with accepted district and state fundamentals.

Files mirror the standard chronological writing process:

    Choosing the Topic

    Prewriting

Drafting: Expository, Creative or Research (observing assignment
    specifications)

    Editing

    Revising, and

    Completing the Final Draft.

All of the products are aligned with Common Core Anchor Writing, Language, and Vocabulary Standards for grades 6-12 along with Bloom's Taxonomy principles.

Teachers, your goals and students' skills, abilities and needs are met in this bundle because of its gifts of flexibility and time. With these 201 pages of teachers' notes, lessons, and activities your planning and product research is done, and you will…

As always, PDF version- of any of these activities may be downloaded and printed for classroom use. Also, a Easel Activity is ready to be used for Google Classroom. Teachers may choose to add an interactive layer of their own for digital use by clicking on the red "Use as a Buyer" rectangle on the product's page
