What educators are saying

My students loved this resource! It was very helpful for them in writing centers. This completely aligned to the writing standards, and allowed the students to easily write reviews of books, items, and other things. The lessons were easy to follow and my students had a blast!
This is one of the best resources I have found for this writing unit. I LOVED how there were example reviews. I have always struggled to find good examples for students. I also love the writing paper!

Description

Opinion writing unit for primary grades that focuses on writing reviews! This writing workshop unit is an extension of my Opinion Writing Unit where I previously taught them how to write opinions and provide reasons for them.

That being said, this unit could stand on its own without the previous opinion unit. Your students may require a few extra "what is an opinion?" lessons!

Students will brainstorm different things and give them a 1-5 star rating with reasons to support their opinion!
