The Writing Our World Basic Units are not differentiated by grade band. As such, the teacher will need to individualize the pace (and potentially the content) for their student(s). Units 3 & 4 - The Single Paragraph Outline (SPO): In Units 3 & 4, you will build upon your students’ strong sentence-level skills to guide them toward writing well-structured paragraphs. In Units 3 & 4, students learn how their executive functions play a role in the writing process as they dive into planning and drafting single-paragraph responses.
