What educators are saying
Very helpful in teaching introduction sentences to my 5th grade intermediate/advanced ESL students! Thanks!
This was a great visual for the kids to follow along. We are using a couple slides each day to practice our writing
Description
Writing Hooks can be hard for students to grasp.

Higher grades may want to start with all 6 hooks, but have the option of fewer hooks for struggling learners.
6 Hooks Include:
1. Question
2. Onomatopoeia
3. Action
4. Quote
5. Snapshot
6. Flashback

There are Interactive Notebook flap chart to add into your notebooks. There is a Idea Lesson outlined in the product that allows the students to work in groups and practice writing a hook for each specific hook.
There are three different practice pages that you can use for any topic. You can use these practice sheets for all subjects.
There are three pages that allow the students to change boring hooks to more interesting hooks. This will help students expand sentences and increase vocabulary.
