Description

UPDATED 2018:

This whole year writing curriculum is designed to get your third grade students writing 3 paragraphs essays. The curriculum is designed to take only 15 - 20 minutes of writing on 4 days/week. Students can complete this during centers, independent work time, or during whole group instruction.

The students will work through one prompt per week, using all 5 steps of the writing process independently. By the end of the year, they will be able to efficiently and effectively write narrative works, opinion essays, expository pieces, informative pieces, and persuasive essays.

The writing curriculum is fully aligned to third grade Common Core State Standards.

The bundle includes:

*5 powerpoint presentations
*Rubrics for each of the 5 types of writing
*15 printable posters to hang in the classroom for reference
*A writing prompt for each week of the school year
*Examples of pre-writing for each type of writing
*4 articles for student reference while completing informative writing
*Yearly pacing guide with all the aligned standards
