This product is full of activities and assignments to teach, practice, and assess writing skills. More specifically how to/expository/informational, informational/travel article, and opinion. The activities can be used as individual practice and assessment.

• 3 resources sheets - hook/leads, transition words, strong endings
• 2 example essays
• 2 rubrics - could be used for student edits, peer edits, or grading
• 3 different types of writing paper - small spaced lines, larger spaced lines, dotted lines and places for a picture

Informational/Travel Article

• 1 brainstorm/planning sheet
• 5 graphic organizers - introduction paragraph, 3 body paragraphs, conclusion paragraph.
• 2 options of graphic organizers - 1 with no lines, 1 with lines
• 2 rubrics - could be used for student edits, peer edits, or grading

• The worksheets can be used as assessments
• Used as a summative assessment or an early finisher activity
• Grade the project using the rubric
• Print and display resources sheets around the room or include them in the student packet
