Description

Do you struggle with Lucy's Writer's Workshop? I did because it lacked the structure my 2nd graders needed to produce a quality piece of information writing. This unit on writing information books gives your students the structure they need while maintaining the writer's workshop format.
In this writer’s workshop lesson pack, there are 12 writer’s workshop lessons that guide your students through writing an information book, step-by-step, chapter by chapter. When they are done and published, they can use the same method over and over again to create information books on whatever topic they choose. In this pack, you will receive:
• 12 full writer’s workshop lessons (some lasting two+ days)
• Printables to use throughout the writer’s workshop
• Teach point posters
• Anchor Charts
• Example Pages to refer to when teaching the lessons
This resource is aligned with informational common core standards. Each lesson contains directions for a mini-lesson, independent work time, and share time.
