What educators are saying

I use this resource EVERY. SINGLE. DAY! My ELL kids LOVE IT and have even began making up their own "Would you Rather" questions. This is a great resource for oral language development.
This is such a great product! The images are bright, colorful, and cheery. A great resource to keep your students engaged in learning!

Description

“Would You Rather?” is a fun activity that gets students talking! This version was created with English learners in mind to build knowledge and use of everyday vocabulary. A sentence frame is provided for beginning Els. Both PDF and Google Slides formats included!

40 fun question prompts

Project a slide. Then have the teacher or a student ask, “Would you rather _____ or _____?” Hand gestures for numbers 1 or 2 are provided for students to first “show” their choice, which also makes a great scaffold for including newcomers. Finally, students share their reasons orally or in writing using the sentence frame for support.

This versatile resource can be used to build oral language skills, as well as writing skills, in a small group setting, whole group setting, with a partner or in a learning center.

A blank page is included in the PDF version for students to create their own “Would You Rather” question.

The Google Slides version contains a section for students to give a written response.

*Page count - Printable pdf version has 42 pages, and the digital Google Slides format has 41.
