What educators are saying

Fantastic way to cover all important aspects of fractions and pupils liked the idea of getting their passport stamped as they made progress.
This resource is a great way to review fraction concepts and it is so cute! I wish there was an answer key included

Description

I don't know about you, but our fractions unit gets LONG! I created this fractions passport to help assess student understanding as well as to make our fraction unit more exciting!

Each student gets a 'Fraction Passport" that they keep throughout the unit. As I teach the skills, each student has to pass an exit ticket to move on to the next skill! If they don't pass the exit ticket, I will know they need additional instruction with the skill and provide small group instruction. If they do pass, I will know they are ready to move on.

As they pass each exit ticket, they get their passport sticker for their Fractions Passport. They also get to move their airplane along our World of Fractions Travel Map!

Included:

• Fractions Passport (14 fraction skills)

• Exit ticket for each skill

• Passport sticker for each skill

• "World of Fractions" Travel Map Board set

Skils included:

• Adding Like Fractions

• Adding Unlike Fractions

• Equivalent Fractions

• Comparing Fractions

• Simplifying Fractions

• Ordering Fractions

• Improper Fractions/Fractions Greater Than One

• Mixed Numbers

• Adding Unlike Fractions

* Subtracting Unlike Fractions

• Adding Mixed Numbers

• Subtracting Mixed Numbers

• Multiplying Fractions

• Dividing Fractions

If you don't cover a specific skill in the passport - you don't have to add it to your students' passports! Mix and match for the order you teach and what you need to teach. I always add in a few extra skills to have my higher students learn on their own!
