The Middle Ages
Castles and Siege Weapons

A high interest and a complete learning package that can be easily implemented or used as an emergency lesson plan.

Objectives: Students will be able to:
• Explain why the Middle Ages occurred and why it was the era/age of the castle.
• Identify key siege weapons and tactics used in efforts to capture castles.
• Analyze advantages and disadvantage of the different siege weapons and tactics.
• Explain what weapon ended the era/age of the castle.
