What to do:
•Introduce work health and safety concepts and explain risks and controls
•Identify common areas of work for young people and discuss problems with safety that can occur on work sites
•Read or share the case studies in pairs or small groups, or work through a single case study together as a whole class
•Share relevant work safety websites or other resources that are relevant for your area and the language and literacy level of your students
•Ask students to write their answers then draw their ideas before coming together as a whole group to review and reflect on learning
•Encourage students to record their sources in the ‘How do you know?’ simplified bibliography page
