Words Their Way-39 Word Hunts:(Within Word Spelling Patterns)

This is a resource that will help support any phonics program, but follows the sequence for the Within Words Spelling Pattern book in Words Their Way. We began using the program years ago, and the kids had a hard time finding the spelling patterns in text. I began writing stories to go along with the sorts, and created a format which worked well for our students. These 39 stories range from: long and short vowel patterns, to less common vowel patterns, to r-influenced vowel patterns, to dipthongs, and ending complex consonant clusters. Your students can use these as a follow up activity to your phonics/spelling lesson, or you can use as an assessment.
