Description

These orthographic word mapping mats with sound boxes are prefect for helping your students build their decoding and fluency skills. The word mapping mats helps students connect speech sounds to letters or combination of letters. These word mapping mats are perfect for the winter months.

Students will say the word, map the word (I like to use mini erasers), graph the word, and write the word. I put these in dry erase pockets to use over and over!

How to Use:

1. Student say the word

2. Students tap out the sounds they hear by using manipulatives or fingers

3. Students write the letter or combination of letters for the sounds they hear

4. Students write the word on the line
