Description
This virtual music history activity and listening center bundle include 4 google slides music history lessons/listening activities and 1 BONUS bulletin board decor resource: Women of Jazz, Women of Rock and Roll, Women Composers Who Run the World, Inspiring Quotes by Women Musician, and Women in Music: Rule Breakers and Troublemakers. This introduces some of the most well-known female musicians, their stories, and their music. This unit is perfect for Women's History Month or any time of year for group learning or individual learning. Each google slides lesson features:
- 8-17 info slides that include: song and composer info and a brief telling of their story or bio.
- Each slide also includes a clickable video link of an important song being performed in full.
- Spotify codes for custom spotify playlists to use with lessons featured
- Women of Jazz & Women of Rock n Roll feature a 5-6 question quiz with self checking answer key, and slide featuring "a little history" before starting lesson.
- The Inspiring Quotes Resource includes:
- 10 quotes by female musicians, one on each page, with matching decor font and style of other resources in the bundle.
These activities are perfect for middle school and high school band, orchestra, and choral ensembles, but can be really handy and fun in elementary classrooms and private lessons. It is also perfect for virtual instruction. Simply share the files with your students in a google drive, google slides, or use it in your virtual classes and team students up to allow them to learn one slide each and present summaries to the class. All videos are clickable in Google Slides.
