What educators are saying

My students loved this resource! The illustrations were so cute and my kids loved coloring them in. I personally picked 12 of the women and wrote out information for my students to copy, since we were pressed on time. It was a great morning work introduction to women's history month.
I gave my students the choice to use technology to research and write the information about one of the women. They always love an excuse to be online. They had to read, search, and write and learn something about Women's History at the same time.

This Resource is For:

• Teachers who want to provide students with an opportunity to learn about women in history through independent research and create an engaging display that is sure to get lots of compliments!

Why I Love this Resource:

I've been having my first grade students research different individuals for several years now. I love that it gives them a chance to do their own research (with support from their family). My students can't wait to come into class with their "findings" and discuss what they learned. This is something they have shared with their parents or guardians and can now share with the class.

I LOVE that there are 70 women in history to select from. It provides lots of options! I also love that there are different versions with varying levels of support- so easy to adapt for different grade levels or differentiate within a class.

When all of the research has been finished we transfer the information in our neatest printing to the Women's History Month posters. The kids are so excited when we hang them up together in the hallway to not only show everyone all of our hard work- but also to share everything we've learned! The Women's History Month bulletin board is always a hit!
