What educators are saying

My students love to wish their peers well. Quick activity to build a community within a resource room.

Description

Use this Conscious Discipline inspired Wish Well Board as a part of your daily routines to provide a visual way to help children wish each other well when students are absent from the classroom. This ritual helps build a strong sense of community and offers care to others in the classroom.

Included in this file are:

- a large heart to cut-out, laminate, and tape in the middle of a cookie sheet

- a "We Wish You Well" title to cut out, laminate, and tape on the top of the cookie sheet

- the "Wish Well" song and the "Welcome Back" song

- Photo and name cards - add your students photos and names, print, laminate, and add magnets on the back to use during the ritual.

How To Use the Wish Well:

- Use the Wish Well as a daily routine. Review who is at school for the day using the pictures on the outside of the heart. When a student is absent or not present in the classroom, place their photo inside of the heart. When finished, sing the "Wish Well" song to send love and caring thoughts to the student(s) who are absent.
