This unit is perfect to embrace the upcoming Winter Olympics. Your children will become engaged in what is going on in the real world as they read, write, learn and enjoy the Olympics! This unit comes with 2 different options to discuss the winter sports that are played in the winter games. There is also a mini book to talk about the history of the Winter Games. There are math extensions, a cute child with a medal crafts, and tools to keep track of medals for 5 different countries. I have used this with my own class and they love it.
