Description

Breaks from school can be difficult for our Deaf/Hard of Hearing kiddos. Use these discussion prompts to talk about difficult situations they may encounter during long breaks from school. The prompts cover situations like turning captions on, remembering multi-step directions, solving communication breakdowns, asking for clarification, advocating for themselves and more.

Print, Cut & Laminate these cards and use them as prompts for discussion to help students navigate difficult listening situations during a holiday event. 

To extend the lesson: use these as writing prompts, bring the answers back out after break and talk about what really happened over Winter Break!
