Introducing the Visual Writing Game. Based on Chris Biffle's Writing Game (see www.wholebrainteaching.com) this version makes everything VISUAL so students can find the words they're looking for by matching up the symbols.
Star = article
Diamond = adjective
Square = noun
Arrow = verb
Circle = preposition
Your students will beg you to play the game. They will try to beat their best score in 5 minutes, 10 minutes or however many you wish to put on the clock.
How many awesome sentences can they write?
For enrichment, have them create paragraphs from their sentences or even storybooks!
