What educators are saying
This is a great resource to have the students thinking about community members. They loved acting out each one. Thanks!
Used with my Adventurers (Adventist Cub/Brownie Scouts). They were new to the idea of charades, so it took some coaching, but they had fun!
Description
Role play + a relay race makes this activity a blast. Take turns running to pick a card. Then act out the community helper on the card. Charades rules apply! Once the correct job is guessed, it’s the next person’s turn to run and get a card. Keep playing until the cards run out (16 cards total). The person or team with the most cards wins!
Includes 16 card designs:
- Firefighter
- Nurse
- Farmer
- Librarian
- Construction Worker
- Police Officer
- Veterinarian
- Chef
- Scientist
- Photographer
- Teacher
- Pilot
- Mail Carrier
- Entrepreneur
- Lifeguard
- Bus Driver
Also would be great as vocabulary cards in a literacy center or print two copies to play a memory matching game. Print on cardstock and laminate for durability. Includes both color and black and white versions.
