Go fishing! Build understanding of "What doesn't belong", associations, category exclusion, and category sorting by color with "That's Fishy!" a hands-on speech therapy game that will get your wiggly students up and moving.
This product is terrific for both language centers, small groups, and speech therapy!
HOW TO PLAY:
Fishing Game:
Slide a paper clip or two onto each card, and spread them on the floor or tabletop. Now your students are ready to "catch" their fish (with a magnet and a string. I like to tie the string to a wooden dowel for a fishing pole).
Your students will tell which picture does not belong, explain how the others go together, and then sort the adorable fish by color onto the fishbowl mats.
For language centers:
Laminate the cards, and have children cross out the item that doesn't belong before sorting them onto the mats.
