Description

I use this "Where are you?" chart in my classroom to keep track of where my students are.

Each student has a clothespin with their name on it. Everyday they start on the "absent" square. As they come in, they move their clip to "here". As the day continues, each time a student leaves the room they must move their clip to the correct destination. This is a great way for me to keep track of all the students that are out of the classroom!

I have included the following locations on the chart: Here, absent, nurse, bathroom, office, counselor, gifted, lessons, library, computer lab, other, and teacher names (all of which you can edit).

**You can edit the teacher names depending on your needs.** Once they return, they move their clip back to "here". At the end of the day, a volunteer moves all of the clips back to absent. It's as easy as that!

When I assembled the chart, I pasted the locations on black construction paper and hung it from the ceiling using string (make sure it's low enough for students to reach!). It will total about 5 feet in height.
