Understanding cattle breeds is crucial for middle schoolers as it helps them appreciate the diversity within agriculture and the importance of selective breeding. What breed is it? is my version of the classic Guess Who? game in teaching students about the different cattle breeds. Included are the two different sets of game cards. The first set of cards are smaller and intended to slide into the individual game pieces that snap in. The second set of cards are a bit larger and are for the opponents to select from for guessing.
Rather than trying to make my own game board, I went to the Five Below discount store and bought brand new game sets of the store's off-brand game, Who is it? I put together the game boards and inserted my own breed cards I made instead of the standard cards that came with the game. I would suggest laminating the game pieces for longevity for years of playing in the classroom.
