Description
I use these weekly reading logs for nightly reading homework. They are great for incorporating reading strategies. Included is a reading strategies list with sentence starters to help students form their reading responses. Each night, they are instructed to choose a different reading strategy to use from the 6 strategies listed. There is a total of 15 different reading logs, varying in different ways. There are 3 date ranges to choose from:
Monday through Thursday
Weekend through Thursday
Monday through Friday
I have used Monday through Thursday and the Weekend through Thursday in the past so that I could hand out homework either on Friday or on Monday and collect it Friday morning. I also included how I introduce the homework expectations to the class before homework "officially" starts for the year.
