Description

This career-long, printable, easy-to-manipulate, excel tracking sheet allows teachers to quickly collect weekly behavior and participation data for a class electronically or on a clipboard in an organized fashion and all on one sheet of paper. The tracker includes a place to record the day's Do Now assignment, exit slip (if applicable for the day's lesson) and HW assignment. Next to each student's name, teachers can easily check off if HW was turned in and any positive or negative marks/points for the day's participation. I also color-code the background cells for my students names to indicate ESL or ELL and IEPs (if applicable). Doing so, just helps me be more purposeful and aware of my students needs while I'm teaching.

This tracking tool is a great way to track student involvement in lessons and keep yourself organized as a teacher. I use this 1-pager to upload a weekly Accountable Talk/Participation grade for my students every Friday and I print five new sheets each week for my five classes. If you have a trustworthy student assistant who helps you record homework turned in at the start of class, this sheet can help you get an immediate count of who is turning in HW as well. Nothing is better than feeling completely on top of your game as a teacher.
