What educators are saying

My students loved using this resource. They were engaged and had no trouble following the directions. The resource was easy to use and prepare for.
This was actually used to test students learning from our weather unit. Students found it very easy to understand.

Description

With this fun, engaging, culminating activity, your students will show all that they know about the various weather patterns in our world. Students will create a weather map using predetermined cards, and then read those maps as if they were meteorologists.

Your students will be actively engaged, while using such academic vocabulary as:

high pressure system
low pressure system
cold front
warm front
stationary front

This activity includes:

Blank map of the United States
Information page of fronts and pressure zones
Weather Symbols page
Communication Guide to help with the forecast
Pictures of examples
Written directions for the teacher to help students complete activity

Your students will be doing science, writing, and social studies with this one activity.

Perfect for a bulletin board AND as an assessment of how well the students have internalized the science standards on weather and meteorology.
