This classroom and activity guide created by Debbie Gonzales and reviewed by Tonia Hogner-Weavel, Education Director of the Cherokee Heritage Center, aligns with Common Core standards. The book has received starred reviews from Kirkus, School Library Journal, Shelf Awareness and The Horn Book.
