What educators are saying

This helped one of my tutoring students practice making ten on the go. She struggled with this concept, so I introduced a dice game she could play at any time and used this as a self checking tool she could use while playing.
I was able to explain to the bilingual students in my room and they really understood. This is a great resource. Thank you.

Description

Some of my students are still struggling to memorize the ways to make ten (even though we practice them daily for fluency and there is an anchor chart displayed on the wall). I have created this mini chart that they can use when it is time for math.

I printed mine out onto cardstock and laminated for durability.

I leave it inside their group's math bin and when it is time for math, the group captain brings over the math bin with this chart inside (along with other manipulatives).

You can tape it onto their desk to use as a reference or have them keep it inside their math folder.

*Update* In addition to the mini charts (3 charts to a page), this file now includes a single-page Ways to Make Ten Chart, which can be printed as a poster.

Enjoy! If you like this product, please leave feedback! :-)
