Water Footprint Activity

In this activity, students will calculate their water footprint. Be sure students understand what the concept of a water footprint means. Students will work in groups to calculate their individual footprint stopping to check for accuracy before moving from one section to the next. This activity may take up to 3 classes to fully cover. Be sure to remind students that water is viewed differently in areas of the world where water is not as plentiful. Extension: Make a bar graph showing categories of each student in the class.
