Description
This extensive planning and research project covers the 4 core subjects and is made up in parts for both group assessments and individual assessments. For this project, students will (1) plan a trip, (2) individually research and write about one of the major buildings or monuments in the city, (3) build a model of the same monument, and (4) present a slide show along with their model to the class.
I used this as an 2 day assignment for the students who did not attend our class field trip to Washington, D.C. Students had two whole days to complete all of the tasks. I could see all of the students completing this project before their trip OR even if they aren't going. It is a great way to teach about our nation's capitol.
