Description
4 FULL UNITS and 4 FULL WEBQUESTS for Classroom, Digital and Hybrid use. These lessons are student-centered learning at its finest.
Reading, writing and history that spans the life and presidencies of George Washington, John Adams, Thomas Jefferson and Abraham Lincoln - with emphasis on their presidencies. Differentiated and engaging - these units can be delivered and completed in various ways for maximum student access - digitally, group, individually - in class, online, digital or a combination of all. Perfect for grades 5-9. Super for presidents' day 4-12.
There are two parts to each student-centered unit – WebQuests and in class or home packet/digital work. The packets may be printed for students or the form fillable PDFs can be unloaded and used digitally. These are inquiry-based units designed for students to search for knowledge.
WebQuest; Can be completed in pairs, groups or alone. The Thomas Jefferson WebQuest is only available in this bundle.
Class or Digital Work: These units are differentiated and have assignments for group work, partner work or single student work. In the ideal, no pandemic world, I find students are more engaged searching for answers, reading the passages and completing the work together, but sometimes our world is not ideal.
The entire units, inclusive of WebQuest and work pages, can also be completed in stations. My students love this – as they get to move around. Sometimes working with partners, sometimes in groups, and sometimes alone.
Finally, the form fillable PDFs are perfect to upload to Google. Now, PowerPoints and form fillable PDFs accompany each file.
Inclusive of standards-based work, source document analysis, fluency, comprehension, higher order thinking, group presentations and deep analysis - these units are great for Presidents' Day or any U.S. History study.
