1.Students will watch or listen to YouTube videos about apples and pumpkins and compare them. The pictures have hyperlinks or students can scan the QR codes.

2.Students will write their opinion about which place is better to visit, the pumpkin patch or an apple orchard.

3.Students will watch How to Carve a Pumpkin, and then explain how to carve a pumpkin using a word bank.

4.Students will look at the pictures and write a narrative story using the word bank.

5.Students will look at the picture and list things they see in the picture and explain what is happening.

Differentiate instruction by providing a word bank and sentence starters.

Sentence starters help clarify instructions and model appropriate language. Students have an idea of what is being asked of them but may not understand every word. Sentence starters allows them to understand the response that is expected.
