What educators are saying

I took the time to print, laminate and bind all of these books. These are a great resource for my 1:1 paras to practice with our autistic students.
My speech students enjoyed this resource. I love how photos were used instead of cartoons to make it appropriate for my older students. Also, the multiple levels it offers is very helpful!

    Description

Enhance your speech therapy and classroom activities for teaching and answering wh questions with this bundle of leveled adapted books. These are perfect for teaching and modeling answering WH questions with real photos and will provide you with materials for many sessions and lessons to come!

This must-have product features five sets of leveled books, each designed specifically for a different WH question (Who, What, Where, When, Why). These books are carefully crafted to provide a range of interactive experiences for students. Each set consists of four leveled books that allow students to answer WH questions using Velcro attachments, as well as an additional four books that can be used with dry-erase markers, significantly reducing preparation time.

To ensure an immersive and captivating learning experience, all the images in our books are real-life photos or vivid illustrations, promoting meaningful connections and enhancing comprehension. This makes our materials ideal for both special education and regular education classrooms, catering to diverse student needs.

In each question book set, there are 4 levels:

    • Level 1: A 10-page book with matching pieces to develop a foundational understanding.
    • Level 2: A 10-page book that poses questions about the pictures and requires matching responses.
    • Level 3: A 10-page book with three descriptive sentences about each picture, encouraging more advanced comprehension and matching skills.
    • Level 4: A 10-page book with text-only questions, providing an opportunity for students to practice answering WH questions independently.

Furthermore, the differentiated hands-on pieces offer various options, including just text, images without text, and non-identical matching sets, allowing for individualized instruction and reinforcement.

But that's not all! There are also four dry-erase versions of the books, accompanied by a convenient Communication Board. These versions feature the following levels:

    • Level 1: A 10-page book with circle answers, presented with a field of two picture choices.
    • Level 2: A 10-page book with circle answers, presented with a field of three picture choices.
    • Level 3: A 10-page book with circle answers, presented with text-only options and a field of three choices.
    • Level 4: A 10-page book with write-in answers, promoting expressive language skills.

Each dry-erase version comes with its corresponding Communication Board, complete with extension questions, ensuring comprehensive practice and reinforcement.

As an added bonus, each question book set includes a Core Vocab Communication Board, equipped with extension questions for extra practice, fostering deeper understanding and language development for students with AAC devices or limited communication skills. These are also perfect for providing paraprofessionals with prompts to keep the learning going!
