Description

Have FUN WHILE LEARNING with this BOOM CARDS edition of my Hide and Reveal Farm Animal inspired lesson. This unit addresses new vocabulary related to farm animals in an exciting and engaging way. It's a great interactive activity to allow your students to practice introductory inferencing skills, reasoning, describing, auditory comprehension, expressive language, vocabulary, answering WH questions, comprehension of expository text, and MORE.

**IF YOU ALREADY OWN THE POWERPOINT EDITION OF THIS RESOURCE, THE BOOM CARDS EDITION IS NOW INCLUDED WITH YOUR PREVIOUS PURCHASE. JUST DOWNLOAD THE NEWEST REVISION. TO GRAB BOTH THE POWERPOINT AND BOOM CARDS VERSIONS, PLEASE CLICK HERE.**

It is a gameplay activity that can be presented on SMARTBoards for whole group or computers, laptops, and tablets for small groups. It is great for speech teletherapy platforms too! Students will be able to use the mouse to click on the squares (or for touchscreen devices click the squares directly on the screen) to slowly reveal the picture of a farm animal hiding underneath. The object of the game is to guess the farm animal in as few clicks as possible. The images of the farm animals are full-color, REAL pictures that are high definition and very detailed which is great for describing.

This unit has a separate slide for each farm animal being presented. There is a graphic organizer for each farm animal to practice describing, you will also receive a separate facts page for each farm animal with "Did You Know" facts to continue the instruction. Following each farm animal there are comprehension questions to answer to assess skills related to listening for detail and comprehending expository text. There is an abundance of language embedded in this unit as it introduces new vocabulary, following simple directions, auditory comprehension, expressive language, making inferences, describing, answering WH questions and more.
