The journey starts with Mahatma Gandhi and the Great Salt March, opening the door for students to understand the connection between Gandhi and MLK. Students then explore events like the Montgomery Bus Boycott, The March on Washington, The Selma to Montgomery March, and the Voting Rights Act of 1965. Students end the trip by learning about continuing efforts for equality in America. This virtual field trip in Google Slides & Seesaw contains video links, images, reading passages, exercises, writing activities, and more to engage students while they learn about this important topic.
