Our Virtual Experience Series: Field Trip Bundle contains five packets in Google Drive including:
- Aquariums
- Museums
- National Parks
- Zoos
- Road Trip
Each resource gives you the opportunity to work on different skills while exploring interactive websites. These are motivating activities that allow you to interact with your students via online platforms.
Many of our students have never had the opportunity to experience or explore different places throughout the world or even in their own community. Virtual field trips allows students to observe, discover and explore several areas of interest that they may never have the chance to.
Each experience in this Bundle is described in detail below. Links are provided throughout all packets to allow students to explore and interact during each field trip. This packet allows students to take a virtual field trip to an aquarium and view the many exhibits an aquarium has to offer. Students will be able to view the live camera and read through facts about different aquatic species.
This packet includes the following activities and strategies:
- Activating Prior Knowledge (KWL Chart)
- Discussion Questions (Roles in a Conversation)
- Thinking Strategy (I See, I Think, I Wonder)
- Webquest (Short Response Questions)
- Tug-of-War (Identifying and Supporting Claims vs. Counterclaims)
This packet allows students to take a virtual field trip to a museum and explore many exhibits in museums throughout the world. Several Writing Activities are included to engage students in higher level thinking.
This packet includes the following activities and strategies:

- Types of Museums
- Writing Activities to improve Perspective Taking, Making an Inference, Descriptive Language, and Making Predictions.
Our students will have the opportunity to experience five Hidden Worlds of the National Parks by exploring 360 degree videos, listening to Park Rangers and reading through facts. National Parks presented in this packet include: Kenai Fjords, Alaska; Hawai'i Volcanoes, Hawaii; Carlsbad Caverns, New Mexico; Bryce Canyon, Utah and Dry Tortuga, Florida.
This packet includes the following activities and strategies:

- The Cornell Notetaking Method to Record Information
- Response Questions to Recall Information
- Tug-of-War Activity to Support Claims vs. Counterclaims
This packet allows students to take a virtual field trip to a zoo and view the many exhibits a zoo has to offer. The activities in this packet focus on the Panda exhibit at the Smithsonian’s National Zoo in Washington, D.C. Students will be able to view the live camera and read through facts about the pandas.
This packet includes the following activities and strategies:

This packet allows students to travel to different states and/or countries by taking a virtual road trip. They will be able to visit and learn about different landmarks and points of interest. At the end of the packet, they will be able to create a trip of their own and maybe one day in the future they can actually go there.
