What educators are saying

A great resource that I used to put on an entire school and community Veterans Day assembly. Will use again!

Description

This resource is useful to anyone who is planning a Veterans Day ceremony or program. Whether the program is going to be classroom-wide, school-wide, or district-wide, there are many ideas here for you to consider. This resource will provide a solid base for everything you need to host a meaningful and engaging program!

This resource includes multiple documents and templates that are all fully-editable. I have also included links for some of the digital presentations we have created in case you wish to view the examples and create something similar to show as media at your event.

Props to you for planning to honor veterans! A Veterans Day program always makes for a very special day.

Here is a summary of what is included with this resource:

★Many ideas for what to do at your assembly or program-this is what I believe to be of greatest value with this resource

★Multiple readings about topics related to Veterans Day that you may wish to include at your event

★A full-program script for an assembly that you can use for ideas or as a template

★A presentation template

★An editable letter you can send out to invite veterans to your event

★An editable press release you can send to newspapers or put on social media to advertize your event

★Interview questions for students to ask a veteran they are interviewing and an assignment that would be appropriate for middle-school or high school to go with these
