What educators are saying

The vertical number line is great it is just another way for students to see the numbers especially if they struggle with the horizonal left- right concept.
I absolutely love the vertical number line. It helps my students visualize adding & subtracting negative numbers.

Description

Do you have students who struggle with counting on, adding, or subtracting? Try a number line that is VERTICAL! These have really been a game changer for my students over the years! They make it so easy to visually grasp the concept of counting up or down, as if the numbers are on a ladder. Number lines are a great way to introduce or reinforce math concepts, and these are perfect for any classroom or grade level!

These really cute number lines are large and hang on your wall to be used during whole group math lessons, or for students to reference throughout the day.

July 2020 Update: My number line products have now been updated to include cut lines for easy assembly and negative integers!

The number lines included in this pack are:

0 to 10

0 to 20

0 to 30

-10 to -1

-20 to -1

-30 to -1

There are two widths to choose from: a more narrow size if you only need positive numbers, and a wider size if you need both positive and negative numbers.

Dimensions: Each 8 1/2 x 11 page will print 6 numbers. If it is printed to the intended size, the length of 6 numbers is approx. 18 inches. To give you an idea of a fully assembled length, a number line from 0-20 will be 60 inches or 5 feet long.

They are also very easy to put together! All you need is glue and a paper cutter or scissors!

Please note:

1. This file contains two separate PDF files that have been compressed, or "zipped" together into one download. Please ensure that you are able to "unzip" compressed files PRIOR to purchasing, or you will not be able to download them properly.

2. This download includes TWO number line files, the 2020 updated file with cut lines and numbers from -30 to 30, and the 2016 original file without cut lines and only numbers from 0 to 30. For those of you who have purchased the original file, you will still find it in this download so that you can reprint, if necessary.

3. Assembly directions for the 2020 updated file: Print the pages you need, cut on the dotted lines, and glue the ends together. Assembly directions for the 2016 original file: If you print the pages to their intended size (without shrinking the size or changing the margins), fold the page, cut exactly down the middle, and the black lines should line up perfectly! If you have a MAC computer, you may have the option to print BORDERLESS in your printer settings, this will help to get rid of the annoying white space that is sometimes added to PDF's when you print on a MAC!

Thank you for checking out my store! If you love this product, check out my matching name tags and smaller student versions to keep at their desks, in their math folders, or at your guided math table!

Happy Teaching!
