Description

Developed to support RI, SL, W CCSS standards through close reading of complex text. Text is 820L and falls within the 3-5th Grade CCSS Lexile Stretch bands.

This Lesson is designed to take 2-3 50-60 minute classroom periods to complete. Rigorous and aligned to highest standards. Questioning pushes students to refer to images and graphs to add to understanding. Includes 2 versions of text: Minimally and Highly Scaffolded, Student Facing Packet for all work and fully scripted Teacher Lesson Plan. Supports in place for ELL and Lower Level readers.
