Valor Posicional, Decenas y Unidades, Tens and Ones in Spanish | First Grade

First graders initially can have a hard time understanding place value and the concept of tens and ones.

First sheet (from preview):

Has them circle items ten by ten, this helps them understand the concept of tens or decenas. It takes ten ones to make one ten. 10 unidades componen una decena. In turn, they will see that the remaining items are the ones place or unidades.

Second sheet:

Students will draw a line connecting the pictoral forms of the numbers along with the standard forms.

Third sheet:

Students must shade in the tens and ones base ten block illustrations to represent the standard form given.
